The three brushes every gal should have at home
April 14, 2012
Whether you’re a makeup junkie or you get glam for the occasional night out, every woman should have at least a few trustworthy brushes in her cosmetics bag. Brushes make it easy to apply everything from eyeshadow to blush. ( I’m sorry, but that little sponge applicator thingy that comes along with eyeshadow is simply NOT acceptable.) Here are the three brushes no makeup set is complete without.
1. Kabuki brush. Kabuki brushes are big, bold and fluffy. They’re round and soft with tons of bristles, which makes them perfect for applying powder foundation. They feel almost as good as they make your makeup look.
2. Angled brush. This tiny brush is ideal for applying powder eyeliner and eyeshadow along your crease. It helps you create perfect lines, so you don’t have to worry about shaky hands.
3. Tapered blush brush. As the name implies, this brush is perfect for applying blush. Actually, it’s great for applying any powder to your cheeks – from blush and bronzer to a finishing veil or even shimmer.
When you’re armed with the right brushes, applying makeup like a pro is as easy as 1-2-3.
