It’s cold outside. Brick cold. Winter is in full swing. Consequently, tanning isn't exactly easy. You can't simply lie out on the beach and wait for the color to come. Well, you can. If you want to, that is. Let me know how that works out for you, buddy. An equally counterintuitive option would be to bake under a set of powerful rays at your local tanning salon. Can we say “ Hello, skin cancer?” Luckily, there's an easy way to fake your bake – bronzer.
Bronzer is the perfect way to chase away those wintertime blues. If you want to get a healthy grow in no time, pick up a bronzer in a color just a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone. Use a kabuki or powder brush to apply it to your cheeks, forehead, nose and even chest with big, sweeping strokes.
For the best results, apply bronzer over foundation to make sure your glow is noticeable but natural. You can even add a bit of blush for an extra summertime touch.
Just remember, a light touch is best when it comes to applying bronzer. Too much and you'll likely appear more orange than sunkissed – a look that doesn't work for anyone. Unless, that is, you want to go the Snooki/Lohan route.
